How to disable outgoing caller ID?
13 years 3 months ago #6513
by Ron
I'm running OpenVox G400P on Asterisk 1.6.2.14 with dahdi.
I want to disable outgoing caller ID when sending outgoing calls using the GSM trunk.
How do I do that?

HI Ron,
Please set hidecallerid=yes in /etc/asterisk/chan_extra.conf.
That did not make any difference. I am thinking it should be a GSM option, like the PIN.
Any other ideas?

HI,Ron.
You have to contact with your provider to hide caller ID.

I can do it easily on my GSM phone. It is a setting.
It does not require anything from the provider.

Hi Ron,
You can add "set(CALLERID(num)="")" in your dialplan to have a try. If still no function, you have to apply for this service from your provider.
