GSM span X: Provisioned, Down, Active

13 years 6 months ago #6319 by ricardo
Hi!

I used chan-extra and I think everything is configured, but when I type "gsm show spans" on asterisk cli i get:
GSM span 1: Provisioned, Down, Active
GSM span 2: Provisioned, Down, Active
and gsm show span 1 says:
D-channel: 2
Status: Provisioned, Down, Active
Switchtype: SimCom 100/300
Type: CPE
Network Status: Unregistered
Network Name:
Net Coverage (0,31): -1
SIM IMSI:
Card IMEI:

Does "Net Coverage" mean that I don't have any signal there and so the Stauts is "down"?
Or is there another problem ?

Thank you

Hi,
Please stop your asterisk and dahdi, then run command "modprobe opvxg4xx debug=9" then "asterisk -vvvgc", "dmesg", and send me the message of "dmesg"!

asterisk starts normally and with the spans nothing changed
gsm show span 1
D-channel: 2
Status: Provisioned, Down, Active
Switchtype: SimCom 100/300
Type: CPE
Network Status: Unregistered
Network Name:
Net Coverage (0,31): -1
SIM IMSI:
Card IMEI:
And what is switchtype = simcom?

We have the pin disabled, but is there a way to enter the pin? In some example files (e.g. zapata.conf.duoGSM) there was something like:
; phone number for SIM card in slot A
;exten=016012345671
; PIN for SIM card in slot A
;pin=1234
and switchtypes:
;switchtype=em200
switchtype=sim340dz
;switchtype=m20
;switchtype=g20
but with dahdi we use simcom!?!

And when I reload the module chan_extra.so I have another strange thing:
module reload chan_extra.so
-- Reloading module 'chan_extra.so' (EXTRA Telephony)
  == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/chan_extra.conf':   == Found

We had a problem with the PCI-Slot. After changing the slot everything is fine :)

Thanks to svolta!!!
