Not "GSM Span X registered to network!"

13 years 7 months ago #6202 by chapeti
[font=arial, sans-serif]Everything works fine with the installation of Brisstuff, installs all ok.
Try the Zaptel module and the module "opvxg4xx" and everything goes as the manual says.
But when I run asterisk-vvvgc never gets to see the message "Span X registered to GSM network !"....
SIM cards are installed correctly ...

I'll be doing wrong?

Hi,
Make sure you have done the following:
1. Fix antenna
2. Provide 12V power supply for the card
3. Enable debug parameter, like: modprobe opvxg4xx debug=16/8
4. Execute "dmesg" and see what happens.

Hi Joe, how are you...

I did as you indicated and I show the result of "dmesg" command:

[108125.439064] opvxg4xx: Powering up all spans...
[108125.439523] opvxg4xx: span 0 SER_RX [ \r\nNORMAL POWER DOWN\r\n ]
[108125.439561] opvxg4xx: span 1 SER_RX [ \r\nNORMAL POWER DOWN\r\n ]
[108125.439640] opvxg4xx: span 2 SER_RX [ \r\nNORMAL POWER DOWN\r\n ]
[108125.439738] opvxg4xx: span 3 SER_RX [ \r\nNORMAL POWER DOWN\r\n ]
[108135.356931] opvxg4xx: span 3 SER_RX [ \r\nCall ]
[108135.430804] opvxg4xx: span 3 SER_RX [ Ready\r\n ]
[108135.430804] opvxg4xx: span 1 SER_RX [ \r\nCall ]
[108135.430804] opvxg4xx: span 1 SER_RX [ Ready\r\n ]
[108140.401398] opvxg4xx: span 2 SER_RX [ \r\nCall Read ]
[108140.401398] opvxg4xx: span 2 SER_RX [ y\r\n ]

See something strange?

Hi,

The "dmesg" seems normal, it means that the GSM modules work well.

Execute "module unload chan_dahdi.so" and "module load chan_dahdi.so".

And post their results here.

[font=arial, sans-serif]Hello!
I did what you suggested and found that was wrong because the file name "zapata.conf" had kept it as "zapata.config" .... :L
Thank you very much for your help, and my apologies for being so distracted ... :loveliness:
Thanks again!
