A400P Missing CallerID (CID)

Hi,
some background first.
I am in Australia using TrixBox V2.6.2.2 with A400P (1 Trunk, 3 Extension)
Outbound calls seem to work well.

I have a problem with Hangup detection and CallerID.
I used the native drivers for the OpenVox card.

I have read a range of posts from James Zhu regarding Patches for CallerID, but they all assumed a good knowledge of Linux.
Unfortunately I'm only new to Linux (been working with Windows for 20 years).
James, you mention in your post that certain files need to be replaced but you do not specify the full Directory name where the files are meant to be.
I'm sure its just one of those things you take for granted (once you know where source files are supposed to be).

Could you please update the Post below with a little more detailed information.

Specifically, if you could
1 - include full directory names of where the files are to go.
2 - The post is not 100% clear (to a newbie) which files are required for just the A400P.
3 - You mention to make and make install. Again, a little more information here would be useful.

Hi.
It is very encouraging to see, that we may have a solution to the missing caller id.
I have the same problem about using the info, It is clearly written by someone with a deep knowlege about Linux. I would be very greatfull if You could write the inf. in such way that even us lesser knowlegde able user can use it.

I wil offer my assistance to write it "cookbookwise"
