OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is the ideal solution to integrate data, voice and video in one product for small and medium-sized enterprises, which can be used in scenarios such as government and enterprise call systems, commercial call centers, and dispatch center industries.
The UCP product series include the chassis, switchboard, main control board and module boards, etc. The concept of UCP is that users can choose different functional and performance module boards and control boards according to their needs, and these modules are connected to the backplane via high-speed Ethernet through special communication connectors. UCP products adopt SIP softswitch core, high integration, broadband and narrowband integrated design, which can effectively improve communication efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Modular design allows users to directly install, configure or remove communication modules such as switch boards, main control boards and service boards. Switching and service modules can support hot-swapping.
- Each module is connected by high-speed Ethernet, and then connected to PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) or private network voice switching equipment through wireless trunking, digital trunking, analog trunking, and broadband SIP trunking.
- The main control module is compatible with mainstream IMS/NGN platforms, IPPBX and SIP servers, and can be installed with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operation platforms, etc.
- The service module is connected to the master via SIP signaling; in terms of software docking, it is perfectly compatible with Asterisk, Elastix, trixbox, 3CX and other SIP servers or VOS VoIP operation platforms.

OpenVox Unified Communication Platform (UCP) is not just a VoIP gateway or an IPPBX, it is a hybrid unified communication platform that includes both VoIP gateway and IPPBX functions. You can simply customize your IPPBX and VoIP gateway with different interface modules in one chassis. UCP supports Core Switch Unit (CSU), Core Control Unit(CCU), and Module Unit. The Module Unit includes Wireless Trunk Unit (WTU), Analog Interface Unit (AIU), Digital Trunk Unit (DTU), RAID Storage Unit (RSU) and Storage Expand Unit (SEU), supporting access to GSM/LTE lines, analog lines, digital lines, RAID and storage expansion. The UCP service boards can be optional depending on the system's capacity. Empty slots for unconfigured interface boards, need to install empty panels.
The UCP2120 is a 2U standard chassis, 434mm wide, 330mm deep and 88mm high, which can be installed in a 19-inch cabinet by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. The UCP2120 provides 2 main control board slots and 9 module board slots to meet the business needs of users from 100 to 1000. The main control board module is X86 architecture and works as an individual IPPBX system with Linux and Windows support. In addition, the service board will identify the initial IP address based on the slot number, e.g. slot 2: 172.16.80.2.
