Whenever I put a D410P card into a Dell SC1435 the server refuse to turn the screen on or boot up. It doesn't get to POST. It's completely dead. Same card works fine in other servers. Other cards work fine in Dell server. Any ideas?
It looks like a pci contact problem, Could you try to set the jumper at the right down corner to another position? It is used to swap the power of card between 5v and 3.3v.
As I said the card that doesn't work in the Dell SC1435 works well in other Dells and other HP servers. Other PCI cards (3Com NICs for instance) work in the Dell SC1435.
