Corrupted CompactFlash on boot

12 years 2 days ago #7980 by Befo
We are currently developing systems with OpenVox IPC100B motherboards. We use a Linux OS installed on an 8Gb CF.Occasionally the system doesn't start and displays a message that means the CompactFlash is corrupted.A simple reboot fixes the problem.Has anybody ever had this problem?

Hello,
I think you should check if the Jumper 3 was closed to the right place.

Normally, the first two pins should be closed if you use Compact Flash as Master storage device.

hello,

Thank you for your quick answer.
The jumper 3 (1-2) is closed (the CF is configured as Master).
Attached is a picture of jumper.

Hello,
If the jumper is correctly closed.
Can you insert another Compact Flash and see if there is a same problem?

We tested a new openvox card with just a CF and an UART connection to log the boot.we have swich on 100 times the ipc100B. In 100 times, 3 times the card doesn't boot. On the UART connection, we have nothing.
Do you have an idea why the card is not boot ?
