11 years 6 months ago #8380 by slip
Hello,

We have G400E witch four GSM modules.

We read the manual ( http://wiki.openvox.cn/index.php/OpenVox_G400E_Installation_Manual ) and made the installation of the G400E.

The D9 blinks faster than D8. LED1 is on. LED2, LED3 and LED4 are disabled. If there is something wrong with our card?

Hi,Normally, D9 blinks faster than D8, that's true. But all LED1,LED2,LED3 and LED4 will be blinking if you already loaded opvxg4xx module.

Based on your 'gsm show spans' messages, which means that the GSM modems are not served power properly.

My suggestion: make sure your give power to this GSM card, enter Asterisk console and perform 'gsm power stat X ' to check what power status of the span X. If it's OFF, perform 'gsm power on X' to re-give power to gsm modem.

It will not be working until you get something like this:

elastix*CLI> gsm show spans
GSM span 1: Power on, Provisioned, Up, Active, Standard

'Power on' and 'UP' are necessary.

Anyway, if you still can not make it worked..Please contact me!

Hi,
have you resolve the issue?
I have the same problem, led not blinking and when i launch "gsm show spans" command return "span 1: Power off, Provisioned, Down, Active, Standard".

I have installed the board in a dell poweredge r415 with XenServer installed and with pci-passtrougth i pass the board at the dom.
The Dom is an elastix server with CentOs 5.10 and kernel 2.6.18 and with command lspci "view" the board.

In another test I have installed on the dom the same environment described on user manual:

CentOs-5.6 with Kernel version 2.6.18 and chan_extra 1.1.2
but it doesn't work.

Can you help me??

Hi,

You need use 4-pin 12V power to power up the board. If you give the board power, when you run "gsm show spans", it will show you power up.
If you still have problem, you can contact me via skype below. I'm Linda, I can help you with G400.
