Hi guys,
i've just installed openvox B800P on a trixbox 2.6.1 server, but i can't set the BRI port to the N/T mode. This is the output of the misdnportinfo command:
Port 1: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 2: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 3: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 4: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 5: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 6: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 7: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2
Port 8: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> childcnt: 2

i've read this tutorial by James Zhu (
www.openvox.com.cn/downloadsFile/1195091288.pdf
), where it's written to edit the misdn file under /usr/sbin/ directory. This is the result:
...omitted...
#HFCMULTI_layermask[${i}]="${HFCMULTI_layermask[${i}]:+"${HFCMULTI_layermask[${i}]},"}$(printf "0x%x" ${l})"
HFCMULTI_layermask[${i}]="0x3,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,"
;;
...omitted...
once i edited this file, i run the misdn-init start command, but the output shows me clearly that my ports are in TE mode. This is that output:
/usr/sbin/misdn-init start
which: no lsusb in (/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin)
[!!] FATAL: lsusb not in path, please install.
Loading module(s) for your misdn-cards:
/sbin/modprobe --ignore-install hfcmulti type=0x8 protocol=0x2,0x2,0x2,0x2,0x2,0x2,0x2,0x2 layermask=0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf,0xf poll=128 debug=0
/sbin/modprobe mISDN_dsp debug=0x0 options=0 poll=128 dtmfthreshold=100
creating device node: /dev/mISDN
[trixbox1.localdomain ~]#
How can i fix this situations?
Regards, Daniele
