Trixbox2.8.0.4 with Openvox G400P and A400P

13 years 3 months ago #6486 by micpet
Hi All.

New to all this and a bit stuck. I have TB2.8.0.4 setup. Tested and works with an OpenVox A400P with 2 FXO and 1 FXS in ports 1,2, and 3 respectively. The A400P worked with not much configuration but to create an inbound route. I did a catch all route. All good to this point.

I downloaded and installed the drivers for the G400P http://www.chan-extra.org/download/chan_extra-current.tar.gz . Install appeared to go OK. The A400P still works with calls in and out, but not too sure of the extensions or manual configurations to do for the G400P. I do not want to tamper with the files configured by FreePBX. So from the install instructions http://www.chan-extra.org/index.php/OpenVox_G400P_User_Manual_for... , I am stuck at the edit extensions.conf file. What I did was add to /etc/asterisk/extensions_custom.conf
[from-gsm]
exten => s, 1, Answer()
exten => s, n, Dial(SIP/200)
I did not do anything with the [from-internal] part as I figure it was there already

Here are some outputs

*CLI> dahdi show channels
Chan Extension Context Language MOH Interpret Blocked State
pseudo from-internal en default In Service
1 from-pstn en default In Service
2 from-pstn en default In Service
3 from-internal en default In Service
*CLI> extra show channels
Chan Extension Context Language MOH Interpret Blocked State
pseudo default default In Service
5 from-gsm default In Service
7 from-gsm default In Service
*CLI> gsm show spans
GSM span 2: Provisioned, Up, Active
GSM span 3: Provisioned, Down, Active

I only have 1 SIM card in there now so span 3 is down.

Here are the files I have:

I added Trunk->Add Custom Trunk->Custom Dial String;
extra/g0/$OUTNUM$ and also tried extra/5/$OUTNUM$ with no luck. Can't dial in nor out.

Output when I try to dial out with Trunk "extra/g0/$OUTNUM$"

Hi,
If you want to add trunk on PSTN line, you can add zap trunk directly. Use the default g0.
In your situation, extra-channels.conf, you configure group=12
1) Click tab Basic->Trunk->Add Custom Trunk->Custom Dial String, fill this:
extra/g0/$OUTNUM$
2) Click tab Basic->Outbound Routes->Trunk Sequence, select:
extra/g0/$OUTNUM$
So extra/g0/$OUTNUM$ should change to your situation.

Is it ok that both have group 0? Is there any document that has good explanation of the conf filkes in asterisk?

Temporary Solution.

1. added to bottom of /etc/asterisk/extensions_custom.conf
[from-gsm]
exten => s,1,Answer()
exten => s,n,Goto(ext-group,600,1)
exten => s,n,Hangup

2. added trunks
extra/5/$OUTNUM$
extra/7/$OUTNUM$
extra/g0/$OUTNUM$ did not work. I also tried g12, g13, g63 with no luck.

3. Added another SIM/GSM card from a different provider. The SIMs used to test which are the ones I have to use in production did not work. I will call the provider tomorrow and hope all works as their rates are great.

If all works well I will be back to mark this post as SOLVED.

Hi,
If you add inbound on webpage, you don't need to write dialplan in extensions.conf. If possible, please give me ssh to check. My Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
If there is result, please let us know.

ssh not possible. I do not have static ip and have to go through adsl modem and router and will not be able to setup soon. How do I change the tones for the G400P? I believe that the Digicel SIMs that are giving the problem might be 'uk' and the default I have setup is 'us'. Is it possible to change the tone pattern per slot on the G400P? When I try to dial out I get "all circuits are busy now" and when dial in I get "the number you have dialed is unavailable". If I change the SIM it works. All SIMs work in the phones.
