A400P dialing very slowly

14 years 5 months ago #4177 by ultimeon
Hi,

I am using a 4 FXO A400P card on a testing server:

PentiuIm IV 2.8 Ghz
2 Go RAM
160 Go S-ATA Hardrive
OS: Debian Lenny

Asterisk in 1.4
and zaptel is the last version.

When dialing from sip to the pstn i get one or two ring and then blank sound then it's take something like 10 secs before getting dialing tone on the pstn
line adding the r option in my exten to simulate the dialing tone doesn't work ever.
i still have the " 10 sec blank moment"
Does anyone got this problem? Is it CPU problem or something like that ?
I tried a trixbox 2.6 to be sure it's was not my os or zaptel which had a problem but it's the same delay on the trixbox.

any help would be very appreciated !

Hello Patrick,
You mentioned that the asterisk version is 1.4, but could you tell me the exact version of it? And what are your configuration file zapata.conf. extensions.conf .Actually, there are some people already experienced the delay issue in trixbox . I don't think this to do with the hardware. If you don't have other particular features to test I suggest you try this combination of software(zaptel-1.4.11 and aterisk-1.4.20) instead of the version you owned now. There is solution about solving the delay in trixbox, but I am not sure it whether matched your case. https://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/help/suddenly-everything-slow. Any question, please post here!

It seems normal from your configuration file. Please try the way as James.Zhu mentioned above, and give the info by running command zttest. If it still could not solve, please send your SSH to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Good Luck!
