We bougth an OpenVox VS-GW1600-20W Rack 3G Gateway fully loaded with 20 3G/UMTS Channels (it has 5 VS-GWM400W boards)
From the beginning some modules/ports didn't work (i.e. 2-1, 3-1, 4-1) but the rest of the gateway worked Ok and we were not using all the ports anyway, so that was not a major problem.
Recently we noticed that the modules from 3 boards were not working at all and the two that were working had one module not working each.
We did our best effor to diagnose the problem (updated firmware, factory reseted, swapped boards, etc), but could not make the boards work.
We noticed that the main problem is that the gateway does not recognize the modules/ports installed on the boards as you can see in the attached image:

Modules 1,3 and 5 report the modules/ports as NULL, not as UMTS like boards 2 and 4.
Upon inspection of the properties of any of the modules installed in boards 1,3 and 5 we find that no band can be selected, no module IMEI can be configured.

But what surprised us the most was that upon checking the cluster configuration we found that the 3 problematic boards (1,3 and 5) were reported as the wrong model, they were reported as VS-GGU-E2M0400 (GSM boards) when in reality they are phisically identical to boards 2 and 4 which are reported as model VS-GWM400W (3G/UMTS Boards).
As you can see in the image, they are all updated to the latest firmware available but detected with the wrong model and we think that this can be the cause for reporting 3G/UMTS modules as NULL...
