a1200 with bad sound quality

no - i did not patch anything - the new version is "supposed to work" - i will check through my installed zaptel/oslec versions to see what might be missing.

any other ideas?

another "question" is I thought you already closed Hyperthread in Bios, otherwise the system should show 2 cpus, but now only 1 is visible, (run cat /proc/interrupts)

and also the system said your cpu is a P4, not mentioned hyperthread, it looks a little strange. could you check?

do not know what you missed, but when kernel report such info, usually means that version of the .ko are not match.

yes - Hyperthread is turned off in bios - i just wanted to mention the model.
